Print the support documents?

The website can't set the printer for you, so pick these in the print window:

Print the survey with the disclaimer?

Next is the survey with the disclaimer. In the print window, open More settings and pick:

Where is your MHW Section folder?

The app needs this once so every Save goes straight into the right folders. A Windows folder window opens next.

  1. Go to F:\BSM.
  2. Click MHW Section once so it's highlighted. Don't open it.
  3. Click Select Folder. If the browser asks, choose Allow or Edit files.

You're choosing a folder, not a file, so the Excel sheet and PDFs show greyed out. That's normal. The master list button finds the Excel sheet inside this folder on its own.

1Submission files

Drop the request email and the app pulls out the survey, the procedural approval, the date received and the subject. You can also add the two PDFs on their own. Files stay in this browser and are never uploaded.

Request email (Outlook .msg, .eml, or the email saved as PDF) Drop the saved email here, or click to choose
Signed survey (PDF) Drop the PDF here or click to choose
Procedural approval (PDF) Drop the PDF here or click to choose
Second procedural approval (PDF, only when there are two waterbodies) Drop the PDF here or click to choose
Add your files first, then press this button. The page greys out while it reads them.

2Submission details

Shaded fields were filled in for you, and the tag says where each came from. Check them against the survey and LABINS before you file.

Location check Click the project point on the aerial to set the latitude and longitude.

2bSurveyor and firm

Contact details come from the firm's Notice of Filing on file and always go onto the current blank form. The surveyor's name and PSM come from this submission.

3Office review checklist

The app checks what it can read on the survey and ticks those items, with what it found underneath. Check the rest yourself. Any item left unticked goes in the corrections email in step 4.

4Corrections email and master list

Every checklist item that isn't ticked is listed here in your standard wording. Copy it into your reply to the surveyor.

No corrections needed: every checklist item is ticked.

5Reviewed survey stamp

The filing number, disclaimer and REVIEWED stamp go on every sheet, in open space. The app picks the emptiest spot near the top right. Drag the block to move it.

Add the signed survey in step 1 to place the stamp.

Drag the block to move it. Drag the bottom-right corner (or use Size) to shrink it, and drag the right-side handle (or use Width) to make it wider and flatter. The disclaimer re-wraps to fit.

After the filing email goes out, add the sent email thread (saved as PDF). The Notice of Filing you signed in step 6 goes in on its own. The package is merged in SOP order: tracking form, email thread, Notice of Filing, procedural approval with its requirements page, checklist.
